The MIT Graduate Student Vision Plan is available to all MIT graduate students enrolled in a degree-granting program. The vision plan is offered through EyeMed and is separate from the MIT Student Health Insurance Plan (MIT SHIP). 

What does the plan cover? 

The plan offers eyeglasses and contact lenses at significantly lower costs than retail. For complete coverage details, visit the Summary of Benefits

Only students are eligible for the MIT Graduate Student Vision Plan. Coverage is NOT offered for spouses, domestic partners, or children/dependents.

How much does the plan cost?

Premiums for this plan year (February 1, 2024 – August 31, 2024) are $31.50 for an individual student.

All premiums are billed to the student’s MITPay account. Premiums are billed in a single lump sum.
